Let’s Conclude

The best photo editing laptops will offer plenty of features to choose from. Some of you may get confused between SSDs and HDDs, so let me clear here.

HDDs and SSDs

SSD’s are Solid State Drives that offer great speed, more versatile, use less energy. They got their name as Solid State because they have no moving parts. In an SSD, all data is stored in integrated circuits. But, SSDs are quite expensive than HDDs. Due to this, there is a huge difference between the performance of an SSD and an HDD. Whereas, HDD refers to Hard Disk Drive. It has spinning disks inside where data is stored magnetically. The HDD has an arm with several “heads” (transducers) that read and write data on the disk.

If given a chance to choose one between both of them, I’ll prefer SSDs over HDDs anytime (especially when considering laptops for photo editing). If you want to know more about SSDs and HDDs, you can read them here.

Many laptops these days have an IPS display panel to provide more brighter-bolder images with better color reproduction. If you are a beginner and just starting with photo editing and you do not need 100% Adobe RGB color reproduction, you can go with a full HD display with 95-100% sRGB. But if you’re a professional whose photos get printed and have a lot of commercial work to do, my recommendation will always be a 4K display with 100% Adobe RGB.

In terms of other specs, always consider a minimum of 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 processor, and a minimum of 256GB SSD. Bigger is always better, but you can consider these according to your budget. If you have no particular budget set and wish to consider more options for some best photo editing laptops, you can head over here and get some recommendations.

A recommendation for daily use (not for editing)

And, if you’re looking for a daily use laptop in the budget of about Rs.40k-50k, this one is my go to pick.
